Charm, culture and storytelling at its best. As a family of 4 with small children, we were overwhelmed with our few days stay with Gro, Margun and Bastian. The rooms were comfortable and we lacked nothing of importance. The surrounding area was full with history and you needn’t leave the property to Experience a taste of 1800’s (and in some cases Medieval) Norway. Thank you for the wonderful stay in such a special place.

Really great place to spend a night or two in authentic buildings. The owners are super friendly and helpful. The stay includes a "storytelling" during breakfast about the history of the location that dates back to 1632 and has been owned by the family since 1830's. And a tour in and around the old buildings. The enthusiasm of the owners is inspiring. Oh, and the sauna is also really good!!

Idyllic place, and the hosts were welcoming. The breakfast was excellent with homemade bread and rolls, and the hosts shared fascinating stories from the farm's history. We also got a tour of the old buildings. We stayed in an old barn with a large fireplace, beautifully decorated. We will definitely be back!

Historic timber buildings, charming rustic interiors and a thrilling true story from the past told by the warm and welcoming hostess. Excellent value for money, and ideally located for visiting stave churches, museums and galleries in the surrounding valleys — with easy access to the mountains.

Thank you for a wonderful weekend at Sevletunet! We were a group of 12 on a company trip, cycling rail bikes from Veggli. We parked the rail bikes 1 km from Sevletunet and walked the last stretch. A fascinating place with history beautifully brought to life, and surrounded by stunning nature it turned out to be far more than just a stopover. History in every wall! What a fantastic place! We only stayed one night, but we were lucky with the weather and could enjoy the evening shelter down by the water well into the night. The main building is beautiful and steeped in history. A delicious breakfast, and it was such a lovely touch that Gro sat down with us and shared the story of Sevletunet and the legendary Sevleguten. A stay steeped in history. Sevletunet is a beautiful farm with buildings dating back to medieval times, some of which have been converted into accommodation. This must be one of Norway's most extraordinary places to spend the night. The farm features a medieval storehouse and a barn from the early 1600s, yet the accommodation is comfortable and the hosts are warm and welcoming. I wholeheartedly recommend Sevletunet!

A charming stay in Numedal! Hostess Gro goes above and beyond with excellent service! She even prepared a delicious homemade dinner on request. Fantastic breakfast, soft beds and comfort combined with charming historic buildings in beautiful surroundings. Conveniently located along the Numedalslågen river with swimming opportunities, mountain hiking or a rail bike trip from Veggli. Gro will even pick you up and drop you off if you ask! We will definitely be back!

Nostalgia and peace of mind. We were 12 family members ranging from 80 to 2 years old at Sevletunet for a weekend in July. Young and old fell in love with the place from the very first moment. The adults were filled with calm and nostalgia, while the little ones were delighted by the expansive green areas, the fire pits and not least the fascinating old buildings with all their hiding spots. We spent most of our time outdoors, as everything was perfectly set up for it. We sat around the fire until after midnight and felt the tranquility wash over us. The food at Sevletunet was also wonderful — many of the ingredients were locally sourced, and there were so many exciting and delicious flavours. Finally, I must mention the warm and generous hosts who did everything in their power to make our weekend truly memorable — which it was. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for something a little special and a place with real soul. You will absolutely leave with a warm feeling in your heart.

Warm hospitality in beautiful surroundings. For a very reasonable price we had a simple family room with private bathroom. Good comfort, wonderful hosts and lovely surroundings. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the courtyard while our little one ran around picking raspberries and marvelling at everything there was to see. We would gladly have stayed a few more days and enjoyed a quiet evening on the sofa in the outdoor kitchen by the water. Next time!

We had two wonderful nights at Sevletunet with friends. We were given a warm and personal welcome by the hostess — which perfectly sums up the entire stay. We stayed in the main house. The whole farm — every single building — transports you to another era and fills you with a sense of calm. And when Gro and Margun serve up an exquisite homemade breakfast with freshly baked bread (including freshly baked gluten-free) and a dinner made from locally sourced ingredients, it simply cannot get any better! The cherry on top is Gro's storytelling about Sevleguten and the local area. A stay at Sevletunet is worth a journey in itself!!!

Reception was very friendly by the hostess. The property is run by mother and daughter. They do everything they can to make you feel better. Dinner was delicious with traditional Norwegian dishes served in the large dining room. Breakfast was fine. Rooms beautifully decorated with historic furniture. The area is beautiful. After breakfast the hostess told the history of the former farm and we got a tour of the historic buildings on site.

We visited Sevletunet for one night in July 2020 and were absolutely delighted! We came here to relax and get away from it all, and we are so glad we chose Sevletunet. The farm is fantastic and the family who runs the place are incredibly helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended. We grilled dinner outside and had breakfast together with the other guests in the main house. The breakfast was excellent with a great selection, and we enjoyed local stories and the history of the farm while we ate, before being taken on a tour of the grounds.

We only stayed at Sevletunet for 1 night due to our travel arrangements, but we wish it could've been more. This place has so much charm. Our bedroom in the main house was clean, spacious and cosy. We were greeted by the 2 hosts Margun and Gro who made us feel instantly welcome and at home, served up very nice typical Norwegian foods, prepared the sauna and shared the stories of Sevletunet. I hope we can come back in the future.
